Josh is a mythical creature who saves people from committing suicide. Tyler is losing his faith in God and questioning his sexuality. One night he thinks it's the best option, taking his life. Then a thing with Ruby read hair and wings to match shows up, telling him he has a life ahead of him. 

Tyler takes his advice, but still has negative thoughts and bad habits. 

Josh ends up at a crossroad and has no idea which to take.

Anathema: someone or something that one vehemently dislikes, an abhorrence, abomination, accursed. Someone or something consigned to damnation or destruction. Platonic Joshler Life can get pretty difficult when your only two friends are imaginary, and it's even harder when they're not exactly the most positive people on the planet. Tyler is used to that, though, and he's used to pretending they're not there when other people are around. It wasn't so bad, at first, but now that one of them is bent on getting rid of the other, he's having his doubts. Besides, there's another boy now - though Tyler's not even sure if he's real or not, either. ... *TRIGGER WARNING FOR ALMOST EVERY CHAPTER* Depression, suicide, self-harm, etc. Since they're so frequent, I will not be writing warnings during the story. But Tyler should know better than anyone; you can't hide from love. Especially when it grabs you by the heart, twisting and tugging until you have no energy left to stop it. He was in love with Joshua Dun, and eventually, he stopped denying it. Nobody knows his true feelings, not even his best friend, Jenna. For a while Tyler had been able to cover up all of his sadness and other emotions he would rather not mention to anyone. Then comes in Joshua William Dun. He comes in and slowly starts to get closer to Tyler. Then when everything is going great one small hint of jealousy splits them apart hurting Tyler all over again. But of course Josh slowly but surely is bound to find his way back into Tyler's life all over again. (First fanfic so if it sucks I'm sorry)

It is based on the song "Forest" by Twenty One Pilots (a pretty great song used for a trauma inducing story). This is a work of Joshler fanfiction (Joshler being the pairing of Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph). It is pretty well written but is known to be cringey due to the sexual scene in the story. It also has an impact on Twenty One Pilots fangirls because of its tragic ending. enjoy.
