Chloe's best friend Fay has had a crush on Michael Clifford ever since her moved across the road of from six months ago. When she discovers that his band, Five Seconds Of Summer, is playing at their local beach bash she forces Chloe to attend it with her. While there she bumps into Luke Hemmings, a member of 5SOS. They start off on the wrong foot when Luke makes a comment about Fay being insane. But when Fay finally gets Michaels attention Chloe is forced to hang out with the band, including Luke. Can they put their feelings aside for their friends or will they discover feelings they thought they would never have?
