The Alpha's Mate
Mort, is the Alpha for the Red Crimson pack and I am his Beta, Taragon. He has recently found a mate and because of an accident that happened years ago after I found mine that caused her death, my punishment was that I would never have another mate. I accepted it as punishment for not protecting her at the time and caused her death. One day, the Alpha meets his mate and she happens to be a runt in one of the worst families of our kind. He isn't too happy with her and she's so fragile looking. Although, he feels that for her, she can still be useful around the house. 17. That's how old I am today. It's about time too. I was getting sick of being 16. I hear a low rumble being emitted from my chest. I run towards the woods before the change takes over my body.
