However in six years he comes back .Only to find out that Rose has adopted a little red headed Moroi named Maggie. Maggie's parents who turned strigoi and Rose was sent on a rescue mission to save Maggie. Once she found the baby she was healed from Dimitri's burns. Maggie becomes her life.
