Tale of Three: The Beginning

One rainy night in October walking down the street in my small home town I noticed that something wasn’t quite right. There was this feeling that I had, like someone was following me. Turning around, looking behind me I didn’t notice anything. Shaking my head as I continued along thinking that my over active imagination was getting the best of me again. Glancing up to the sky and looking to the full moon I realized that I was running late the sun was going to be coming up in a couple of hours and I still had a lot of things to do.
Arriving to my destination I set my backpack down on the mausoleum steps and knelt down beside it. Reaching into the bag I pulled out my wand and atheme. Hearing the crunch of someone stepping on fallen leaves I spun around atheme in hand and whispered “Who’s there?” Glancing around I placed my atheme in my boot and stood up. Peering into the direction of the noise I asked a little bit louder, “Who’s there?” Staring out into the dark thinking to myself let’s lighten things up bit. “I need a light and I need it now so bring a light to me now.”
