Cover made by @blaqskies I ran through the dark street, the only parts illuminated by several lamp posts at the side. Hurdling over trash cans and wooden chairs, rustling through small bushes. All this effort just to escape from the Nephilim. I could see the witch-lights getting closer and the sounds of shoes stomping heavily on the pavement, the huffs of smoke from the cold night air. I looked over at Nixon who was breathing heavily as he ran beside me but he still managed to give me a cocky grin, "I thought our performance was quite the bomb.... But I guess we didn't think this quite through." I gave him a smile back as he pulled me into a dark alley. "Guess we didn't."

We have been on the run for days now. The safety of my children is my priority. I was betrayed in the worst way, and I could not watch him hurt us any longer. I never saw my life going this way but here I am running for my life and my children's. This was the last bus stop, and I had a choice to make. I hope that I would not make the wrong one. He could find us at any moment and I imagine him dragging me all the way back by my hair. I didn't know who to trust but sometimes you just have to take a leap. Maybe, with a little luck, I will find the one thing I have been missing and be saved. One could dream, but for now, I'll keep running.
