Cover made by @blaqskies I ran through the dark street, the only parts illuminated by several lamp posts at the side. Hurdling over trash cans and wooden chairs, rustling through small bushes. All this effort just to escape from the Nephilim. I could see the witch-lights getting closer and the sounds of shoes stomping heavily on the pavement, the huffs of smoke from the cold night air. I looked over at Nixon who was breathing heavily as he ran beside me but he still managed to give me a cocky grin, "I thought our performance was quite the bomb.... But I guess we didn't think this quite through." I gave him a smile back as he pulled me into a dark alley. "Guess we didn't."

"We're fugitives, on the run!" Ashley practically yelled for the whole world to hear as we tried to outrun the police. Stupid, I know, but guess who suggested it? The same person who was yelling that we should hide underground until the world ends. "Ashley this is dumb, we need to get out of here," I exclaimed frenzy, and butterflies wondering about in my body. "Really? Dumb? It's pretty damn smart if we don't want to go to jail!" She huffed as we continued running turning corners. "You should have at least taken off the shoes," I pointed at the adidas on her feet.
