    Aura Chandler was so sure she had her life figured out. After securing a photoshoot gig with up-and-coming musician Lacey Redd, she was convinced she would get discovered for her makeup artistry. But all that crumbles when her parents force her to go on a trip to the other side of the country to visit her Grandma Ruby. Now what could've been the opportunity of a lifetime ends up in the hands of another. Distraught, she wonders what to do with her life when she's stuck thousands of miles away from her home for the entire summer. All she needs to do is find her way to make the proper connections in order to get the spotlight she so desperately yearned for. 
    
    And that's when the perfect opportunity presents itself in the rich and handsome form of Zachary McBane: the son of the beach clubs' owner in Cornelius. She thinks that if she could be around those with heavy pockets, she could be better recognized in the future.
    
    Alas, her old childhood best friend, Tyson Smith, sneaks back into her life to remind her that money isn't the secret to life. But she can't help but be enticed by the glitz and glam of the luxury life.
