Juvia and Gray were the best of friends when they were little kids. They loved to play in their backyards together. Nothing could separate the two of them. Nothing, but destiny.

Destiny seemed to be playing with them, since Juvia's father had his job moved to America for the next 12 years. It would take a long time before they would comeback to Japan.

Hearing about the news, Juvia suddenly cried onto Gray, who was dumbfounded by the sudden action. But once hearing everything about the Lockser's plans, he couldn't help himself but cry as well.

Then, Gray had a wonderful idea. He gave Juvia a key which matched with the Locket Gray had for himself.

"We'll stay together forever, Juvia."

But 12 years later when Juvia came back to Japan, she was known with a new name since she never wanted her true identity to be known. She wants to feel what living on the average would be.

Even Gray didn't recognize her. She's gone through bullying, because of Gray, everyday on her senior year life.

But once Gray found out it was the bluenette he made a promise to, he stopped bullying, and began to fall all over again.
