"B-But Maria. What about us?" I ask, already knowing the answer. We can't see each other anymore. No more late nights sneaking into my room. No more subtle kisses in the shadows. No more hearing the words 'I love you' fall from her sweet delicate lips. I begin tearing up and she walks to me and slowly putting her arms around my waist. I rest my head in the curve of her neck, crying softly. Maria rubs my back and whispers in my ear "It will be alright Calysta." I pull away and kiss her deeply. "I will fight for you." I say forcibly. "Or we can run away together. We can leave this place.I will not lose you!" I turn away. "Will you help me get dressed Maria. I have to figure something out. And soon." Maria helps me with my corset, pulling the laces tight, almost to where i couldn't breathe deeply. "Thank you Maria." I slip on my dark blue gown with diamonds around the collar. Then i slide on my open toed flat shoes. I walk out of my room, but before i leave the door I turn around and look back at Maria."I love you, mon aingeal."
