"Every now and then the stars align, Boy and girl meet by the great design..." - Lucky Ones, Lana Del Rey You are the peace I seek in my sadness; You are the stars in all my senses. BROOKLYN is all about parties and getting wasted, she considers this the only way to get the grief out of her system. But she's secretly in love with the sky and everything living on the canvas of nature, she used to write endless little poems about it. But now, hiding her heart away is the only thing she thinks she does best. DERL the loner, the freak, the weirdo, the shy kid with dark hair and big blue eyes-only has eyes for the sky and stars. People always say he's a mystery but that's not quite true. Excellent music taste is one undeniable charm about this "mysterious" boy, along with his dope talent of painting the immortals of life on mortal canvases. When sparks between the unlikely pair drag them out of their comfort zones, it's left to them to decide which weighs more in the spectacular relationship: finding each other within themselves or finding themselves within each other?

"You're mine, Layla." "What-t?" she whispered, still trying to catch up to the whirlwind of emotions crashing through her. "Mine," he repeated, his voice firm and fierce. "Not Liam's. Not anyone else's. Mine. Only mine." ~~ Crestwood High Trilogy #1 ● LAYLA HARPER I'm all about good vibes, great art, and even better company. I'm always on the lookout for new adventures and experiences to fuel my art. But then I saw him - the mysterious guy in school who seems to exist in a world of his own. He's silent, cold, and distant, like a ghost haunting the halls. What secrets is he hiding behind those piercing eyes? I'm drawn to the mystery of him, and I find myself wondering what it would take to crack the code of his icy exterior. ● DANIEL GARCIA I'm a ghost in the halls, a shadow in the crowd. People see me, but they don't really look. I'm a master of hiding in plain sight, of being invisible despite being right in front of them. My walls are up, my guard is down... or is it the other way around? Either way, I'm not letting anyone in. Not after what happened. But then she showed up, Layla Harper is like a ray of light in a world that's gone dark. And I'm not sure if I'm drawn to her or repelled by her. Either way, I'm stuck on her, like a puzzle piece that won't fit. ~ What happens when sparks fly between sunshine & darkness? ~
