Hylies Wedge is a dying place, abandoned buildings line Main Street, a graveyard consumes the land and a dwindling population holds little hope for the future. But things begin to change when young resident, Gina Sullivan, finds herself in harm's way- her shoe stuck on a railroad tie. A mysterious wanderer plucks her to safety and in a twist-of-fate moment Gina follows him out of town, leaving all of Hylies Wedge to search for her.

Inundated with news cameras and crowds of curious by-standers, some residents see a chance to redeem their dying community. But Gina has followed an unlikely savior, one whose legacy mares the town and those who live there.
