The Ark was dying, its Oxygen supply running out. With little options left the council decides to make a hasty decision to send the prisoners from skybox to the Earth's surface. Not only would sending the hundred give them time to fix the oxygen, but to see if the ground could once again be called home. After her 21st birthday, which marked her fourth year in the Skybox, the council made a decision. They were going to send 100 delinquents to the ground as an experiment to see whether the level of radiation was survivable or not. In doing so, they managed to sentence almost all of them to an untimely death that was almost inevitable. With the idea of freedom, Hailey knows that she is never safe and that if weaknesses are shown, someone will use them against her. Will she be able to overcome her emotional and mental walls, even if it means that she'd be vulnerable? Being on the ground will change Hailey in ways that the people on the ark would never expect. When they get caught, she gets an extra charge for assaulting a guard. After getting an unexpected visitor, she practically gets spoiled in the Skybox. Everyone adores the girl, even the guards sneaking the girl things they shouldn't be. After 97 years, they send the delinquents to the gronud. Artemis Blake, unknowlingly being looked at as their leader. Alongside her best friend, who was also a second born. She's reunited with her best friend and crush John Murphy. Their kind of love only comes once in a lifetime. And they just happened to find it in this one. Grounders, Mountain Men, and even adults of The Ark won't be able to keep them apart.
