A baby girl is abandoned at the doorsteps of a castle. The maids bring her in and bring it to the attention of the king. He asks their advice, and lets them decide. One of the maids, Ellody is married to the kings most skilled ranger, Larken. The two without a child, decide to keep her. In their footsteps she grows to be as skilled a warrior as he, maybe even better. They called her Grace.
"I've noticed that the girl under your care-" the king stops.
"My daughter, your majesty, " Larken corrects him.
"She has become quite skilled," king Callahan continues.
Larken stays quiet, waiting for the kings next statement.
"She will leave her current position and be the protector of my son, Prince Harry," he finishes.
Grace leaves her regular position as a ranger, and gaurds the prince. Her job becomes increasingly difficult when multiple distractions occur. She hears talk among the city of a prophecy. She also raises questions about herself that her parents can not answer or rather won't answer. Not only are all the wonders of who she is spinning in her head, but so are the feelings she suddenly feels for the prince. Uncertain that he definitely hasn't developed the same feelings, she fears she will never know. In fear of her life and her loved ones lives, she disappears. Prince Harry is unwilling to give her up, and leaves in secret to find her.
Will the warrioress find the answers to her lifes riddles?

Cheyenne and Kayla are living their dreams. They are living together in a small flat in the middle of London; both studying what they think is their destined careers, but it seems that destiny has a different plan for their lives. Writing this for a contest: (prompt 44) In the middle of a storm, a stranger arrives at her cabin, and she offers them shelter. But the storm's forecast said they'll be stuck for much longer than expected. *************** She was a squib, and she lived in the middle of the woods away from society. Her parents were purebloods, but they passed away from Dragon Pox, leaving the girl alone. She was raised away from society because her parents wanted to keep her safe from the wizarding world. Her parents raised her without magic, or if they did use magic, it was when she wasn't around or wasn't paying attention. She was oblivious to magic, because she had never seen it before. So, when a stranger arrives at her cabin in the middle of a wild storm, she was hesitant, because she had never been around anyone but her own parents before. When the forecast came through that the storm made it impossible for everyone to leave their homes, she realized she was stuck with the stranger longer than she anticipated. The stranger had an almost threatening aura around him, and that scared her slightly, but she couldn't help but feel intrigued by him. What she didn't know, was in the wizarding world, there was a special thing called soul mates. This stranger had arrived by accident, but there was reason. He had been trying to get away from the evil of his father, and went in search of his soul mate, but the storm slowed him down, unknowingly bringing him right to his soul mate's front door...
