The defeat of the wither storm wasn't what they hoped it would be. Sure the beast was dead and couldn't tear their world apart anymore. But the suffering was immeasurable. Hundreds if not thousands of people had been displaced in the beast's rampage. The damage to the land wasn't the only thing left behind either, Petra's wither sickness and Gabriel's amnesia stayed as well and they weren't the only ones. The more they looked the more people they found. Wither sickness was rampant and so many people had amnesia they couldn't keep track. Weeks were spent simply trying to reunite the amnesiacs with their families. The only good news was the sickness never seemed to get worse, although it never got better either.
