Can literature change the world? I think some people might think that it can't because they might not care about other people family struggles. I respectfully disagree. I think literature can change the world because we can learn about how different cultures live, their food and clothing, their living conditions. Patricia McCormick wrote the book Sold. Sold was published in 2006, Patricia wrote this book about human trafficking. Lakshmi was a girl who was the main character in the sold book she was being sold to numerous of people and she has been lied to. We can learn about how cultures live. If we learn from their lives we can have a better understanding on how they get around and how they get their education. By learning we can also help their them get what they need. By understanding them we can make them feel able to reach out for help. Learning is the key to everything. Their food and clothing is unique. Their food has a sense of smell it gives of this amazing fragrance smells like spices such as ( Oregano,Thyme, Basil, Peppers such as green, red, yellow, orange). They make their food outside in a big steel iron wok kinda thing the aroma of the food give their children watery mouths. Their clothing is a very important wear in their country its identifying what people do in their country. Their living conditions. Some places in Nepal is known for human trafficking it very dangerous and some girls are very lucky to not be taken from their family's. Men are very aggressive to women there. Sometimes they run out of food and drinking water. In conclusion, Anywhere we go people are facing the same struggle as us so be respectful to others as they come from a different country.
