"What are you doing here, Carl?" Mom asked. Hurt fill her eyes as she looks on me. I colud tell she doesn't want me around. So I thought. She needed help and I was the only person available.

"Maurice called and said you needed help." I explained.

"Thanks but I think I'll be fine." She said

I could tell she needed help. I've never seen her like this before. She looks horrible.

"Mom, I called dad over because I figured you'd need the help." Maurice said intently.

"I'm fine Honey, I'll just be ok." She said sounding tired.

"Could we pkease go outside." She said.

"Okay" I said

She closed the glass door behind her and puts her hand in her dark blue jacket.

"Carl please don't do this, I beg of you. I'm fine. Can't you see I'm okay?" She asked.

"Not to me your not. Just for a few weeks kim anf they'll be yours." He said in a low voice.

Maurice stood inside looking through his room window upstairs. He could see that there was a disagreement between them.He wanted his mom to get help in the best possible way and the only person he knew could help her was his dad.

"For a few weeks? You promise?" She asked

"Just for a few weeks." He answered.

"Deal?" I
