I was born.
Dakota Engberg (me) was born with a dad that with a hobby, a talent, my dad was a race car driver who drove a sprint car and it was so fun to sit there and watch him race. It was very risky though.And i always got very nervous when my dad raced but he loved it so i supported him all the way. Racing is also very expensive, But once again he loved it and I supported him. One night my dad had a big race (and his last). Once he got on the track he was in 2nd place and then all the sudden a car crashes in front of him and he swerves and twists and then in a split second my dad nick Engberg crashes into the fence. I was so scared for him and thats whin he quit. All then i decided that my passion was to race in the foot steps of my dad so i started to want to race. And it wasn't easy to get my grandpa to get me a race car but i did. It needed some work so i fixed it up with my grandpa and we got that bad boy up and running. It was so fun to race but cost to much so i had to quit. I got really into cars and thats when i started to look every where for cars. Up and down the free way and on the road. My favorite car is and Audi r8 that has a v10 engine with 100 cubic leaters thats my story of cars that make me crack my neck and make me squeamish but cars are my hobby and they always will.

Depends if you will text me this time." "Then maybe." With a grin on my face, I reply, "Maybe is good enough for now." A lie. Truly, maybe is not enough, but I will wait for her forever if it is necessary. I barely know her, but I want her to like me at least a portion of how much I like her because her mere presence makes me happy, and I believe I have the same effect on her. ------------------------------- Two pressured souls to succeed, longing for love. I'm known as "prince charming" "perfection" and so many other, but what i would like to call myself is "a normal 18 year old guy". While other 18 year old guys are out with friends, working hard to study, trying to work, and are free, i'm being watched everyday. I didn't ask to be born into this world, none of us did but we make the best of it. I'm a twenty-five year old single man. Why you may ask? Because I've seen what love can do to a person. It can destroy them. My parent's are amazing but I can still remember the time's my father threatened to kill my mother, left us due to his mental illness. Besides who needs one main women when I can have a different one under me every night, money to blow and fast cars. I'm just enjoying my time until I take my Papes place at the throne. Most nights are spent living it up with my cousins who are my only friends. However there is the one girl that has caught my eye and I don't know why. I first spotted her at a random coffee house I stepped into. Usually I'm very talkative especially when I'm trying to snag a chic but I couldn't utter a word to her. I barely managed to place my order. Now, I find myself going out of my way to stop by that coffee shop everyday. It doesn't matter that it's out of my way. The only thing that matters is that I see her. I knew I could take her if I really wanted to but I can't make myself to do it. She sees me enter and shoots me that amazing smile and prepares my order without even asking what I want, she knows. She'll offer a greeting but all I can do is nod my head. She makes me lose my word's. Deep in my mind I wonder if she could be the one that could change my mind on love and that scares me. For now I'm satisfied at seeing her for the few minutes it takes to get my coffee. Besides I'm a killer, a future mob king and she's this delicate flower that wouldn't understand my world. It is 2008 and In 2008 the whole world changed. And not just because the iphone came out in 2007. It wasn't just the families of the OC Housewives that were living a reality show; so many families seemed to be all about "the house" and not "the home." Sunglasses cost hundreds of dollars and "bags" were thousands. Everything had a label that said you spent a lot of money. People went crazy buying another house, a boat, a Hummer (at 10 miles to the gallon). I distinctly remember two couples, in their late 30s, who were shopping together in Toys R Us. They had a video camera and were discussing the "rules" to this shopping trip. The rules were they had to look into the camera and say what they were buying, for who and why. And the carts had to be overflowing with toys. It was as if they had dreamed their entire lives of doing a "who cares how much it costs" shopping spree at Toys R Us for their children. Just recklessly spending on a bunch of STUFF. That was 2007. And then came 2008. But, more disturbing to me, was the impact it had on families. I think moms and dads lost themselves in providing stuff for their kids and not giving their kids time. And I saw the kids suffer because of it. So, I did a little research and a lot of observing and I wrote a mostly fictional story about an upper-middle class family in the OC. It explores (it simple terms) what was going on in the economy and what teenagers really want from their parents...Abgeschlossene Geschichte
