I was born.
Dakota Engberg (me) was born with a dad that with a hobby, a talent, my dad was a race car driver who drove a sprint car and it was so fun to sit there and watch him race. It was very risky though.And i always got very nervous when my dad raced but he loved it so i supported him all the way. Racing is also very expensive, But once again he loved it and I supported him. One night my dad had a big race (and his last). Once he got on the track he was in 2nd place and then all the sudden a car crashes in front of him and he swerves and twists and then in a split second my dad nick Engberg crashes into the fence. I was so scared for him and thats whin he quit. All then i decided that my passion was to race in the foot steps of my dad so i started to want to race. And it wasn't easy to get my grandpa to get me a race car but i did. It needed some work so i fixed it up with my grandpa and we got that bad boy up and running. It was so fun to race but cost to much so i had to quit. I got really into cars and thats when i started to look every where for cars. Up and down the free way and on the road. My favorite car is and Audi r8 that has a v10 engine with 100 cubic leaters thats my story of cars that make me crack my neck and make me squeamish but cars are my hobby and they always will.

It wasn't just the families of the OC Housewives that were living a reality show; so many families seemed to be all about "the house" and not "the home." Sunglasses cost hundreds of dollars and "bags" were thousands. Everything had a label that said you spent a lot of money. People went crazy buying another house, a boat, a Hummer (at 10 miles to the gallon). I distinctly remember two couples, in their late 30s, who were shopping together in Toys R Us. They had a video camera and were discussing the "rules" to this shopping trip. The rules were they had to look into the camera and say what they were buying, for who and why. And the carts had to be overflowing with toys. It was as if they had dreamed their entire lives of doing a "who cares how much it costs" shopping spree at Toys R Us for their children. Just recklessly spending on a bunch of STUFF. That was 2007. And then came 2008. But, more disturbing to me, was the impact it had on families. I think moms and dads lost themselves in providing stuff for their kids and not giving their kids time. And I saw the kids suffer because of it. So, I did a little research and a lot of observing and I wrote a mostly fictional story about an upper-middle class family in the OC. It explores (it simple terms) what was going on in the economy and what teenagers really want from their parents...Complete

I walked on the nearly empty bus in New York City, which was very rare. It was the middle of the night and this was the last train going around the tracks. It was only me in the car for a few stops. I probably met him at a meet and greet, at least that's what I thought. I felt a presence next to me and looked up to see the green/blue eyes that were so familiar. I took one of my earbuds out. "Hi?" I asked. "Hey. If you don't mind me asking, but where are you from?" He asked. "Let me know your name first." I said still cautious. I paused my music and wrapped the earbuds around my phone and put it in my pocket. "Denzel Weller." He said holding out his hand. "Rose Pitcher." I told him taking his hand. He looked so familiar. His name tried to break through a wall in my memories. I looked around us to see that there was one person left on the train besides us. I took my hood off revealing my turquoise hair. I just got it done and that's what I'm going to my hotel from. "So, where are you from?" He asked me. "We say where we're from at the same time." I told him. He nodded. "1.....2.......3!" I said. "LA." We said at the same time. I looked at him surprised. I took a closer look at him. He looked like he was around the same age as me, 21-22. I studied his features.
