He knew she loved to run in the woods like they did when they were kids, but when they both start to have fun they realized that the territory they were raised in wasn't the one they were born in. But that didn't stop Cleo's heart from racing or Ares from getting flustered. Cleo may be broken, but Ares soon realizes when she gets closer to Kayson that her heart isn't broken like she is. He believe Kayson is the one for his sister until the familiar scent hits their nose.

Cleo knows now that her and Ares will have to fight their own battles by themselves even if it costs them their lives. Ares is proud of his sister for being the Alpha he and their father always dreamed of her being, but he would never thought she would turn down her mate just to reach her goals when their father and mother told them that they could go mad if they deny their mate.
