This starts out as a regular rejection story, but it changes at it goes along. Denise is an abused girl, living with her brother. Said girl is a werewolf, and when her mate rejects her, she can't say that she is surprised, but it still hurts. Still, she bucks up and decides to endure to the end. When a strange ragtag group of humans move into her school, they instantly befriend her, causing her mate to get extremely jealous. When he finds out that there is more too these humans than meets the eye, he immediately warns her, only to have her tell him to shove off. Can he save is his mate in time? Or is the woman he rejected already gone?
