To become a King while the rightful one rules, first you must kill him. Make it look like an accident, though. Wouldn't want to ruin your chances already. But what if he's married? Easy, take her out too. Any Heirs? Piece of cake, children can't lift a finger while you choke them to death. Maybe let the boy die a man, covered in blood if you're feeling generous. 
  
  Stupid question, but can you be the king while the heirs are still alive?
  
  The answer? No. You can become the temporary king if they are missing or committed an act against the crown, but only until they're sorted out.

Ever since Lydia was a child, her parents have had an arranged marriage for Lydia to wed the son of the king and queen of Great Britain, Prince Stiles. The two are now old enough to wed each other and rule together, but the current kings and queens aren’t ready to give up their throne just yet. With threats greater than ever and people who would gladly see their enemies head on a plate, Lydia and Stiles are tied together and must face the harsh realities of what being royal is really like. The future king and queen who are strangers to each other now have a duty to stay alive and become the rulers of two countries. (Characters rights go to Jeff Davis since he created them.
