"Look, Dylan. I'm really flattered, I mean it. But right now, I'm not really looking for a relationship, or a fling, or a one-night stand." He widened his eyes on the last phrase. "So, if you could please, give up on me. There are a lot of other girls out there. Far prettier, smarter and or kinder than me. And I'm sure most of them will be glad to have you. But not me." I explained cautiously.

He sighed. And for a moment I thought he finally decided to give up. Well, false alarm. "I just want you to give me a chance. It's okay if we're just friends right?" He asked.

His tone was so hopeful, and his face so, so hopeful that I couldn't find the heart in me (I was pretty sure I didn't have a heart) to refuse him.
