When the new girl, Lila Rossi, shows up, one heroine's life gets flipped in the worst way possible. Being forgotten as Paris's hero wasn't what Marinette expected, but neither was being turned on in class after eating some baked treats.
"Nice new girl," yeah right.
After some encounters with the new fox hero, and some suspicions put in place by Master Fu, being the only person who knows that Lila and Volpina are one in the same, (an akuma, no less!) Marinette finds herself headfirst into things she never knew could happen, magic jewelry aside.
New prophecies, unexpected allies, and actions Marinette never had to take before, can she save everyone she loves? Or will the thread be cut by fate's design?

Chat Noir's identity has been revealed in the worst possible way imaginable - In front of a nation-wide broadcast crew while facing an Akuma. His life is shaken dramatically, nothing can be the same again, and there is only one source of stability for both Adrien Agreste and Chat Noir now. Meanwhile, Marinette has to come to terms that the person she's admired and her occasionally irritating but trustworthy partner, are one in the same, all while reeling from visits from a certain cat she's grown particularly fond of. Primarily MariChat and Adrienette (It's all the same ship anyway, lets be honest here). First Marichat/Adrienette fanfic, so let me know any criticisms that you may have. Marinette took a deep breath as if she was taking her final if she was getting ready to do the most disturbing thing of her life. Well, she sort of was. Lately, she had been following Adrien and Lila after hearing the rumour of them being together. Marinette didn't believe it, and no matter how stalkerish that sounded, she still wanted to find out herself. She wanted to see it with her own two eyes. Finally, she leaned over and peeked at the corner, where Adrien and Lila were sitting on a bench. Marinette could feel her eyes widening when she saw both lips pressed against each other's, both of them engaged in a kiss, which shattered Marinette's heart. She had hoped that her crush wasn't dating another girl, but here she was, seeing them kiss with her own two eyes. The situation made her upset, but her stomach also hurt from the anger she was feeling. She clenched onto her stomach and willed herself not to cry, but instead, her legs gave way and she landed on her knees, more unsettling anger rushing through her body like large waves. This was too much to handle. As tears escaped from her eyes, Marinette didn't notice the small dark butterfly fluttering towards her. Instead, she covered her face and forced herself not to scream, tried to get up from her knees and walk away, pretending she hadn't seen anything. But it wasn't easy, and when she finally looked up to see the Akuma, it was already too late. One of Marinette's rules had always been not letting Hawk Moth control her, but that all changes when Marinette catches her crush kissing a girl, his new girlfriend. Marinette feels shattered by the sight and wasn't strong enough to control her anger.
