The world has been taken over by a man named James Modest. He makes everything monotone. No information about the outside world. The population has been split into three. The assassins, who at 18 go to boot camp to train. The humans, regular people who marry at 18. And then they Hybrids or cross-breeds they are looked down upon, kicked, spit, anything bad is done to them. Harry Styles married a woman but divorced her to live alone. One day on his way to work as a vet he sees a cat-human hybrid dying. He takes him to the office, and nurses him back to health.
