Some time between the Gem War and the events of "Steven Universe", a lone perma-fusion, Emerald, is recruited by a group known as the Argyle Guard to aid defending Earth against an impending attack from Homeworld. Together, Emerald and the Argyles rove out in search of allies and try to find a way to fight the invading Gems, all the while learning what it truly means to be an Earthling.
