Stacy Harris is probably the only 6th grade girl in the world who hates living in Hawaii. But ever since the Navy transferred her dad, mom, older sister, and younger brother to the tropical paradise, she's been miserable. Until her teacher assigns the class a project. They must interview an adult native Hawaiian, learn a traditional Hawaiian custom, and demonstrate it to the class. Easy enough for a straight A student. Unless that student makes it her life purpose to avoid other people. And to never, ever make friends. But Stacy is about to embark on a journey that will show her just how far from home she's truly wandered. And she'll discover her heart in the most unlikely of places, and with the most unlikely of people.
Breathe Me Home is the second book of my Navy Brat historical books, each a stand alone novel. It is set in 1972 Hawaii, where my father was stationed at the time. The author was only 5 years old in 1972, but I can still remember what it was like to live in paradise. Unlike Stacy, my character, I loved my life there. Of course, at 5, you love everything. I'll be posting my rough draft during NaNoWriMo 2016. I hope you'll offer your feedback, because this will follow the first book of this series to my agent, then on to a traditional publisher. "I needed to," I murmured under my breath in the hopes that he would hear the weakness in my voice and let me go. But at last, it was only hoped that made me think that way. He didn't let go; he wouldn't let go until he taught a firm lesson. No matter how many times I ask and plead for forgiveness, he is never going to go until he is satisfied. "Were you jealous that you weren't invited? Is that why you had to sabotage the whole thing, uh?" he bit his teeth, his voice getting angrier and his hold on me crushing. "Ow.. please...," I said tears rolling down my eyes. He didn't say anything this time just watched me cry, and I could basically see the smirk forming on his lips in slow motion. This is what he wanted for me as if it was never enough for him to see me like this. I waited for him to say something anything, but instead, he let me go aggressively and pushing past me hard, causing me to lose balance and fall to the marble floor. I looked up to see everyone watching me struggle to get up. No one came to help, and I didn't expect them to they watched and laughed and even filmed, but no one came to my rescue. - The fake smiles, laughter, friends I am getting sick of it all. I always felt like I didn't belong anywhere with him gone. It was even worse. It was pathetic that I thought it's okay I will get through this, but I am slipping away falling slowly. The Hawaiian Special Forces
This is the story I'm writing for NaNoWriMo 2015. The goal: 50,000 word RAW draft written entirely in the month of November. Unlike most of my stories, which I prefer to edit before posting, I'm actually going to post updates to this at the end of each day in chapter-sized chunks. The idea behind this story is that a terrorist attack in the near future causes the US to go hyper-isolationist, to the point that it abandons Hawaii and Alaska to fend for themselves. They do, forming the United Pacific States (maybe with a few other island countries). Hawaii then goes on to turn itself into the new world police with stealthy, genetically modified cyber-soldiers. I'm marking this story as mature because there will be action scenes, and probably some interesting perspectives on nudity and relationships. I'm not planning on anything explicit, but this won't be a kids book. Validated winner at 50,040 words!Concluída

A pair of eyes could seem so kind, warm and innocent to the world, but only yourself could know the true darkness behind them. There's one person in this world who knows exactly what I'm talking about. He knows the infuriating, angering feeling of the painful suffering he experiences when his own eyes meet his reflection's. Deadly, severe, menacing: is what he sees. Everyone who looks into them simply see a bright pair of ocean eyes. Blue. That's all they see.
