I've lived in my house for a few years now and there's never been anyone in the house next door. Then one day the for sale sign is taken down. Of course I'd be curious to who would buy a house in the middle of no where.
There were only three houses down this so called street. One at the end (mine), one in front to the right, and one in front to the left. Who ever thought this would end up being a big neighborhood was gravely mistaken.
No one's lived in either of the houses since they were built according to the landlord, which is like 80 years just saying, so why all of a sudden is someone moving in?

Our main character, Romero Porcupine, decided that a change of scenery would be a nice decision for himself, after he had experienced a traumatizing event in his life. So, he decided to go and live in a nice, quiet town. It is said to be amazing. The townsfolk are supposedly nice. The scenery is amazing. There does seem to be a little bit of noise at night, but that is normal. Right? I mean, who would not love to live next to the woods in a town that has a "Wolf Problem," whatever that means, AM I RIGHT??? No but seriously, he is a bit concerned for his well-being, and along with trying to keep his past and his job a secret from the town, he is trying to figure out how to process some new... information... he gets about the world he lives in. The Taking
Every half century in a small little town hidden in the woods, a beast comes out from the forest to claim his bride on the night of an eclipse. The people of call this phenomenon "the taking". This beast is said to be very dangerous. It roams door to door searching for the woman whose being calls to his animal instincts. He will kill, mutilate and destroy everything in his path until he finds his bride. In the past, the townsmen have tried to hunt the creature and kill him before they can steal one of their marriageable daughters, but the beast does not hunt alone.
