Before the Olympians, there were Titans. Titans were given a bad name by their king, Khaos. Most titans were humble gods who just made the universe work. But Khaos wanted ultimate power and was so blinded by it he didn't notice his sons, Zeus, Posiedon and Hades plot to over throw him. The three brothers succeeded in their task and brought Khaos down. In doing so, gained his power, they divided up the universe leaving Zeus with the sky and weather, Posiedon with the sea and horses and Hades with the underworld. The old gods were glad that their unjust leader was finally brought down, they stayed gods but none were as powerful as 'the big three'. However, one goddess wasn't to pleased in hearing her beloved father was dead. Her name was Nyx.
Nyx was the goddess of night, beautifully sculptured with long, flowing raven hair, and midnight blue eyes that sparkle like a night sky. She longed for revenge. But she couldn't get it in the time she had, so she devised a plan. Before she went into her deep slumber, she married Erebus, God of darkness. They mated and created creatures of evil so that one day they could be used against her enemies. They loved each other very much, Erebus was devastated when Nyx went into her slumber and followed her.
