Hidden within the town of Islesbury lies a snow glazed forest. To some, it's just a God forsaken forest with no meaning, no interest; it's just sorta there. To others, it's more then just a forest. It's home to a sacred family. It's filled with hidden treasures and mystical creatures. Anneska Gem knows this all to well, for she lives there. But what happens when her kingdom is overthrown by a dangerous group of bandits who enslave her family. What will she do when she finds a strange girl lurking through her once called home. What will become of Emerald forest when her father's doppelganger takes his position as king and sends the kingdom into a bloody war? With her new friend, Freya, the young princess will have to battle through the dark creatures and evil of the once peaceful Emerald Forest.

He's been transported into a topsy-turvy alternate universe (not a good thing when your mom's expecting you home for dinner), he's recently acquired wooden extremities and is physically incapable of telling a lie (an even worse thing when you pride yourself on not sharing your emotions), and his little sister has been kidnapped, mistaken for the lost princess of the Land of Pittsborough (the worst thing of all because...please refer back to the part about Mom making dinner). In order to save his sister and find a way home, Leo will have to confront an evil queen who lives in an office cubicle, a few mice with horrible fashion sense, and a girl with green skin and webbed toes (but hey, at least she's kind of cute). And he'll have to do it all before the clock strikes midnight or risk being trapped in Pittsborough forever. Snow White has always been recognized for her pale skin, her ruby lips, her hair as dark as a raven, and her sweet disposition. Behind this outward beauty lies a secret that only a few people even suspect. There was a reason beyond mere jealousy that motivated the new Queen to drive Snow White from the castle. Never fear, dear reader; a prince will find her. Oh, yes. But at what price? -- I wrote this as my first foray into the Wattpad world, in which I took up the challenge of #justwriteit and #altending. However I found that re-envisioning a classic tale such as Snow White made more sense to me than simply changing the ending. Hunted, she thought. She was being hunted. She cried as she tripped once more, her foot catching on a log, and in that one falter, the soldier was upon her. Instantly he roughly pinned her down with a knee to her back and held a strong hand to the back of her neck. Ofelia, immediately burst into tears, thick sobs escaping to the forest. "Pa!", She yelled, weeping into the snow, "...Pa." The soldier sighed and waited. "Sir!", The same voice from before bellowed, "We must get moving!" Ofelia continued to yell out, screaming into the earth, but he only waited. He was cold. Angry. The Frost upon his knee digging into her back. Ofelia could feel his impatience, his irritation at her outburst. She laid there sobbing until she could sob no more. Until the heartbreak seeped into horror. Until she lay there staring at the roots instead. Only then, after a slow and resounding silence, did the soldier lift his knee off her, dragging her up by her arm. Ofelia followed.Completa
