Alsophiene (Sophie) is known from her gift to heal. Although her parents keep her away from the public, Sophie wants to help people... until her parents die. Her sister, Emily, has not yet discovered her power. After their parents die, the only place they could go is to a family friend who lives in Michigan, where the Seltor Manor is located. It was their last resort, but on the train ride there, Emily and Alsophiene were attacked. This mysterious creature was being monopolized by a greater evil, one that Alsophiene, Emily and Michael know is their doom. As they unfold their future, the past is revealed, changing everything.

"I can feel the 'higher power' calling and vibrations cease my body into a trance. Mother had a ring with a dragon wrapping around a pearl gem while my father had a bracelet with a blue sapphire. Everyone has a gem received when the 'higher power' meets with them. They are called Izarrak and they are grand creatures, invisible to the normal eye, only true Gifted can see them.
I opened my bedroom door and a light falls across my face as I am overwhelmed with loneliness. The house is eerily quiet and I am not yet used to my mother and father's absence. I walk myself into the oblivion and I step quietly and slowly out of the house. I am met with a field of dead fern and overgrown rosemary bushes with green grass that itched as I walked. The trees around the meadow surrounded our house like a tall fence and I walked my way into the forest."

In The Gifted Chronicles there once was a school where the gifted could practice magic, but it was overthrown by a bigger threat that has been trying to find Sophie's family. A burning girl on a lake of a dragon and cheating with death. Accepting death can be hard at first but destiny cannot escape itself.

Samuel left the magical world when he was a child, refusing to return to tyrannical Church that leads his fellow harrolds. Naomi has lead the magical world since she was a child, a matriarchal leader for dragons, a race run by family hierarchies. Their paths never should have crossed, and when they do, it's immediately too late. How can a bond be formed when their lives are at odds? - *Samuel Vera* "It's this woman," I said, shocking both Ben and Bale. "She's-" I laughed to myself, relaxing as I spoke about her. "-She's actually always so mad at me, and she's fucking terrifying but she's also so distracting." My tone lowered down to a groan as I finish, "I didn't even have a meeting today, they canceled it, I just couldn't focus grading these multiplication tables." "Has a mere mortal managed to catch the eye of the great and powerful Samuel Vera?" Ben teased, sounding awed and offended, an act as he once more made me regret telling him who I was. Next time, don't tell friends you're a magical being, got it... "Shut up, Ben," Bale said, though he was grinning at the tease nonetheless. "Sam is never going to bring girls over if you're so... 'Funny'." "I beg to differ," Ben said. "My teasing creates an air of informality that comforts many people. You, for example, have always been drawn to my open and honest personality." "Always is a bit of a stretch-" "-And, you know what? She would probably actually punch me," I said. I hadn't stopped talking about Naomi, going through our five minutes of history as Ben and Bale bickered as couples do. "Even if she knew, I don't think she'd care, most women, they're so..." "Non-violent?" Bale said, sounding as if he were worried for my sanity, "Unlikely to attack you?" "Now now Bale," Ben said. "Sam likes a bit of action in his life, he's a wild child." *** Trigger Warnings: N/A- If you find something I have overlooked (which may happen, I've read this book a million times) please let me know and I will update!

Her vision blurred, a man was speaking but she couldn't hear his words. She felt the sword in her chest, but it wasn't there. He killed him. He killed him. Breathe. Did she stop? Breathe. The man, she could hear him speaking. What was he saying? Breathe. She inhaled a deep breath. And another. Then another. Things started to clear. "Breathe. That's right," the warrior coaxed. She started to take another settling breath, and his face came more into focus. The first thing she noticed was his piercing green eyes. She had never seen eyes quite like that before. She stared into them, mesmerized. He mimicked a breath and she took it with him. She was coming back. "I will not hurt you," the man kneeling before her promised. Anna knew better than to believe him. What was it he had said? Oh. "You...you said...you said 'no witnesses'." She was shaking violently. She took another deep breath. "Ah, " he uttered in acknowledgment. "You are not a witness, you are the treasure

I looked at him with uncertainty. "I'll try to find out." "You're a witch, can't you cast a spell on me or something?" "It doesn't work that way Dark, but I'm gonna try to find out what I can. I'll help you. If I can't help you become a human again, I can at least help you accept what you are now." with that said, I went upstairs and into Gibson's dinning room, he sat there wearing a fit white shirt and a plate of beef infront. I sat down across him and started cutting down the meat. "What took you so long?" he asked as he started digging in as well. "He gained a little control of himself and wanted to become human again." "If he wants to commit suicide, he can do that." "So you mean there's a way to make him human again?" "Yeah but nobody does that." "Do you know how?" he looked at me with narrowed eyes. "If you'd care to read the witch history book, you'd know." "I think I have a copy in my case, am gonna check it out later." "Let me guess, you want to help him?" "Why not? I helped you, I guess I can do the same for him." "You can be a helper witch now, you know that?" "Well I am gonna be honored to be." --------------------

I watched him watch me as he was about to press his fist into the big red button that read "Emergency Fire!". I was unable to form words because, I thought about how hot he looked as he stared back at me with such intensity. It just intrigued me. I finally snapped out of my trance, but not because I'd came to my senses, but because I felt a cold sensation running down my body. I blinked about three times before it finally registered that he'd pressed the button and now water was spilling from the roof, and some students were laughing and playing. My breath hitched in my throat as he came closer. "You really should've worn a more, I don't know, a thicker shirt or bra. Because your two lovely friends are standing at attention." as the words left his mouth, realization caught up to me and I flushed with embarrassment and quickly crossed my arms over my chest. Talk about scarred for life! Jerk. Meet Charm Mill, your typical nerdface. She's the smartest girl in school, straight A's, great punctuality.. eveything in the book. She's also the invisible girl. No one notices her. But, for her, that's a great thing. She feels that going unnoticed means less drama, which is correct. But, what happens when Heath Cullen gets himself in trouble because he's not performing the way he should and the principal forces Charm to tutor him? Will this be a ticket to hell or a ticket for the bad boy to find his true love? Copyrighted. Β©
