15 year-old Kyle Johnson and his friend, Callum Hill go on a trip across the country to Boston, Massachusetts. The unsuspecting two are separated from their families after the airlines have been shut down due to a serious disease that causes people to go completely insane. The outbreak also causes the victims to become cannibals, and whoever is bitten by these people, will be infected and succumb to the symptoms in a period of 48 hours. While they are stuck in Boston, they meet a girl by the name of Jennifer Wilson, this girl is also trying to get back to where they came from. Will these three ever make it home to see their families again, or will they become vicious creatures like most of the population?
