15 year-old Kyle Johnson and his friend, Callum Hill go on a trip across the country to Boston, Massachusetts. The unsuspecting two are separated from their families after the airlines have been shut down due to a serious disease that causes people to go completely insane. The outbreak also causes the victims to become cannibals, and whoever is bitten by these people, will be infected and succumb to the symptoms in a period of 48 hours. While they are stuck in Boston, they meet a girl by the name of Jennifer Wilson, this girl is also trying to get back to where they came from. Will these three ever make it home to see their families again, or will they become vicious creatures like most of the population? In the words of a great philosopher; there is no limit to the gruesome and grotesque things we are willing to do in the name of survival. While reading this; Remember that not everything is as it seems. Remember that loved characters will die. Remember that the world will gradually get worse as the parts go on. Take a moment to ask yourselves these questions: What would you do in the name of survival? Would you steal to survive? Would you kill to survive? Would you lose your mind to survive? If you lost your mind, do you think you'd kill more, steal, injure, backstab, rape or any other atrocity you can think of? If you can think of it, then maybe you would. The characters and situations in this book are very real, if gore or horrific mental images scare you, then I wouldn't recommend reading far. DESCRIPTION: The Infection claimed the lives of over 3 billion people before the TV's went off. But it would claim many more. She works in a bar and it's another normal night until she meets this asshole blonde and suddenly her sense of normal is different. None of which is in every chapter except alcohol because the main character works in a bar.
