When this all happened i was home from work with my brother watching White Chicks. I heard someone screaming outside and I didn't know what the hell was going on. So i got up and looked out the window to see a scene that would be in a walker movie. I ran to the front door locking and locking every door. And hopefully that could give us time to pack up and get ready to leave
"Pack anything you can, go to dads closet and check for guns and grab my bow." I panicked, my brother goes running upstairs. I'd rather be safe than sorry incase this was real or fake. I turn on the news and they say that the Walker Apocalypse has started. I called my dad quickly. No answer.

I walked over to him and stopped just a foot from him "what he said reminded me of....you..." he said and shook his head "Because of what happened to you...I remember how skiddish you were back then...if I had known what he was doin I would have beat the shit out of him too....I don't want that happening again..." he said and finally looked up to me. I didn't know what else to say. A Glimmer of Hope
***WARNING*** This story is very graphic and only for mature readers. It has a graphic sexual assault as well. You've been warned. Athena was traveling around the country seeing her family after losing her husband in a car accident a year before the fall. She thought that they were perfect for one another and losing him shook her to her core. She was in Georgia when the world started to go to hell. After traveling alone for few months into the apocalypse, she stopped to sleep in the woods when she heard two engines stop late into the night. She went closer to the camp, snapping a twig. Then small whispers. A man with a southern twang (appropriate to the area) spoke in a hushed but urgent tone. Athena just caught the end of what he had been saying: "This isn't a democracy anymore!" Shortly after making her presence known, she gets to know the members of the group she heard whispering little by little, though they are hard to let her in to the group at first. After finally being accepted, she catches the eye of Daryl Dixon, the rugged, silent protector of the group. She is extremely apprehensive to do so after losing her husband only a year ago. But as different as this new world is, as broken and sad, he would want her to find some sort of glimmer of hope. **I do not own the rights to any of The Walking Dead characters. Shortly after Rick awakes, they run into Morgan and Duane Jones. Over the course of the 11 years of a normal life, Ford had he had been reported missing nearly 13 times and ran away from home, the longest span of time being 3 weeks, nearly a month. He's been out hunting with both his brothers. Normally hiding away in the woods until his brothers found him. An older-looking guy stepped towards me and my eyes flashed directly to his bat. It was a wooden baseball bat with what looked like some kind of wire around it. My eyes widened up in fear and I began to have a panic attack. The guy's face immediately softened, "Back up, she's just a kid!" He whispered sharply and pushed the Freddie Krueger looking guy out of the way, and knelt down in front of me. "What's your name, sweetheart?" He spoke so low I could barely hear him.
