When this all happened i was home from work with my brother watching White Chicks. I heard someone screaming outside and I didn't know what the hell was going on. So i got up and looked out the window to see a scene that would be in a walker movie. I ran to the front door locking and locking every door. And hopefully that could give us time to pack up and get ready to leave
"Pack anything you can, go to dads closet and check for guns and grab my bow." I panicked, my brother goes running upstairs. I'd rather be safe than sorry incase this was real or fake. I turn on the news and they say that the Walker Apocalypse has started. I called my dad quickly. No answer.

Athena was traveling around the country seeing her family after losing her husband in a car accident a year before the fall. She thought that they were perfect for one another and losing him shook her to her core. She was in Georgia when the world started to go to hell. After traveling alone for few months into the apocalypse, she stopped to sleep in the woods when she heard two engines stop late into the night. She went closer to the camp, snapping a twig. Then small whispers. A man with a southern twang (appropriate to the area) spoke in a hushed but urgent tone. Athena just caught the end of what he had been saying: "This isn't a democracy anymore!" Shortly after making her presence known, she gets to know the members of the group she heard whispering little by little, though they are hard to let her in to the group at first. The Hearts That Still Beat
We've all thought about it. The apocalypse. Of course we have. Some believe it's inevitable. Some believe it'll never happen. Some believe were doomed and others that the military would stop it before it could actually ever get bad. It's normal to think about the end of the world. Because if the world never ends what the point of it beginning in the first place right? Well I thought about it. A lot. Never thought It would happen in my lifetime though. Then it did. And turns out, the military really couldn't handle it and its not nearly as cool as it seems Sorry if it's not that great. This is my first real story with a plan, a laptop and an actual goal. "Is that a damn dog?" Merle asked Daryl, who had paused to light a smoke stopped, just before the lighter touched the cigarette. Looking towards the house he sees the familiar white and black speckled fur, stained with red. "Son of bitch." He hisses, the lighter and cigarette hitting the ground as he raced to the house. Merle was confused but was fast on his brother's heels, they bust into the house and found it was quiet besides the sound of dishes clattering in the sink and water swishing. They share a look before entering the kitchen, there they spot their sister. Aspen stood at the sink with her back to them, washing dishes as their father sat at the table eating and drinking. Merle stayed in the doorway of the kitchen, watching his younger siblings as Daryl approached their sister like she was a spooked fawn. Daryl kept his voice gentle as he spoke "The hell happened?" She didn't face him, didn't make a sound, but he noticed how she scrubbed harder at the pan, chipping some of the coating. "I shot that damn dog." Daryl faced his father, anger settling in his gaze "What?" Updates every Saturday or Sunday. An older-looking guy stepped towards me and my eyes flashed directly to his bat. It was a wooden baseball bat with what looked like some kind of wire around it. My eyes widened up in fear and I began to have a panic attack. The guy's face immediately softened, "Back up, she's just a kid!" He whispered sharply and pushed the Freddie Krueger looking guy out of the way, and knelt down in front of me. "What's your name, sweetheart?" He spoke so low I could barely hear him. I didn't answer and just stared at the bat that was not even two feet from my face. "I'm trying to help you."
