He had over leapt the distance by a tremendous amount. Extremely dangerous falls had been caused by this. Their was no way I was staying on. As I fell with a thud right in between the oxer, I felt a pole crush my chest as Martin's hoof flew into it. Causing the whole jump to collapse on me. I watched as he fell at a very interesting angle with his front feet. I can still hear the sound of his bones cracking in my head. A throbbing pain began to work it's way up to my forehead. The last thing I saw was Martin's beautiful bay body crashing into the ground. And the sound of his neck breaking against the arena floor. Athena Davies, is a young junior rider. She is famed for many things. Winning in many competitions with her beautiful bay horse, Martin. She's confident that she'll win the Maclay Finals, that is until she falls badly and Martin breaks his front legs on landing. Losing his life. She blames herself everyday for what she's done. Nightmares still haunting her for years ever since. She still rides of course, but something is missing. She wasn't as confident as she was before. Even though she wins every competition, she moves from horse to horse. Back and forth. Afraid to trust anything she rides ever again. But when she is requested to attend one of the most prestigious colleges in America, otherwise known as Brookside University, she will be forced to call a horse her own again. And on top of that all, their's drama outside and inside of her riding world. A boy that annoys her to death at first, begins to warm up to her, friendships begin to form in unlikely places, and snarky riders determined to beat her for the national cup, are ready to kill for a spot.. As Athena finds her way in college, she finds herself falling more and more in love with her new horse Apollo. A beautiful black eq hunter horse that is ready to do everything for her. *Currently PAUSED for the time being* +*{REWORKED/REVAMPED VERSION}*+ Amber Mintz was born and raised in Houston Texas, USA. Not coming from a horsey family was hard for her growing up in the equestrian community. She developed a love for horses at the age of five, and that's when she met her: Dandelion. A stunning palomino-pinto Anglo Arabian. Amber had a talent for horses. She excelled at whatever she did and soon became a well-known rider in the community. At age 9, they bought Dandelion. She continued to blow everyone out of the water with her skill, riding especially well in eventing competitions. By age 14, she was competing nationally and was selected to partake in the Olympics when she turned 16. Overjoyed, she and her family pack for the memorable moment. Dandelion was also pumped, and they set out for their destination. Back at home after the Olympics, Newspeople crowd around her small quiet lesson stable. What used to be a peaceful place to ride has now become a picture-perfect danger to horse and rider. A horrible accident sends Amber's reputation as a rider and her social life plummeting. Stress and pressure claws at Amber, and she feels overwhelmed, like a spout with too much water. Then, an opportunity: A quiet island off the coast of England. They quickly find a place to stay and a stable to ride at, but is this island as peaceful as it seems? Will Amber's troubles follow her everywhere she goes? Will she ever have the confidence to compete again?
