Born on land, of a Sylph and an Ashray, a marriage between the sky and sea that's against customs of both domains, Avery was forced to choose between the two sides, but chose land instead. She just wants people to see her as human.
Now Avery lives a double life. The ISV she works for is a front for a secret government organisation called SPIDA. They deal with magical and paranormal threats that most other organisations can't or won't touch.
Mikael's entire life has been chaos, from one troublesome situation to the next.
Half fae, half human, he's immediately discriminated against by both sides.
He was forced to spend his entire childhood in the fae lands, but now he finally has a chance to live in the human world, away from the darkness and danger...but he can't seem to escape trouble, no matter how hard he tries. Instead of staying off SPIDA's radar, events now have them chasing after him, putting both him and the entire faerie realm in jeopardy.
