Ruaridh, or Rory as his teammates call him, is all about rugby. But for all the wrong reasons. And that's why the sport has never clicked for him, no matter how how he trains, eats the right food, healthy smoothies, and then more training. His focus is absolute for the Traverse City Blues men's rugby team, yet he is failing his father miserably.
Grace, a southern belle from Texas, has relocated to Michigan to get a new start on life, in her own words, to live deliberately, try everything new, don't give up or give in. It's not exactly what she had hoped for with a mediocre job just for the health care and the miserable winter weather, but when she moves into the Blues rugby house with Rory, things start getting interesting. Rory is all shades of screwed up, too intense, misdirected. Not that Grace has it all figured out either, but together they will come to know in time, they were made for each other.
Nixon is the 3rd book in the Broken Series. (Ryan is the 1st, Brynn is the 2nd)
Nixon leaves rehab early because he can't deal with being there anymore. His sister Kelis finds someone in need of a roommate so he moves in with the girl and gives her his middle name, Lucas. He quickly becomes addicted to the girl and once he gets one taste he's done for. He warns her about his past, about his name, but she ignores all the red flags, not realizing exactly how intertwined she is with the people from his past. He becomes enamored with her, feels like she was made for him while still battling the demons of his past and soon it all becomes too much for him to handle. He makes a heartbreaking decision, thinking it's what's best for both of them and everything changes.
