El destino de Angie Thompson cambió cuando se le ocurrió la "brillante idea" de salir del montón. Cansada de no ser reconosida, organizó la mega fiesta de fin de año de la secundaria Richmond. Al final no todo resultó como ella hubiese querido. La fiesta tuvo un fin inesperado después de que la casa de los Anderson ardiera en llamas. Mike Anderson, el hijo del medio de los Anderson, cambió los planes de verano de Angie. Después de conocerlo nunca más volvió a ser la misma.
