[Book one in 'The Test' series] All seventeen year old Lexi James wanted to do this summer was spend it with her friends. Would you doubt your own sanity if you were suddenly blamed for certain events that you had no idea were happening? At first, Dayna thinks everyone is playing a horrible joke on her -- blaming her for doing things she wouldn't normally even think of doing. To add onto that, the new guy at school hates her guts for reasons she doesn't understand. But then, she realizes something just isn't adding up. She's blamed for things she's quite sure she didn't do and between taking detentions, to making out with other girls’ boyfriends and getting arrested, Dayna has had enough. She wants to know who is impersonating her and why. Fed up with the situation, she confides in her robotic scientist parents who shamefully admit that they had created a perfect clone of her…that somehow managed to escape. Amid the huge mess her life has become, she meets Kyle, who is an agent assigned to her to keep her safe from her so-called clone. He is also the new boy at school that has an unadulterated hatred for her. Kyle is more man than boy, who has a cynical outlook at life, and a very black and white way of looking at things. As the school term ends and she graduates, Dayna finds herself having a very interesting summer filled with planning, strategizing, and an unknown attraction towards Kyle. What I didn't expect was to run into a mysterious boy I've been dreaming about for the last three years. *** I do use swearing in this book but purely because of the characters' personalities. I am not the characters but just write what I imagine the character to say in a moment like that. Thanks. [Book two in 'The Test' series] The test was finally over. Everyone woke up. They all remembered what they had forgotten in the test. But even with this being the case, some have forgotten the test completely, as if it never happened. And Jack just so happens to be one of the people that can't remember the test. Lexi, John, and Natalie don't know what the reason for it is, but they're sure this is just another sick trick caused by Reid. And to make matters worse, Reid is the father Jack thought he lost years ago to a fire. The test may be over but for others, it seems, another test has just begun. Side note: This book and series has plot holes and other writing errors I hope to fix in the future. It can be a really confusing ride because I got a bit lazy in this book. Like, seriously, I messed up big time while writing this one and this needs major fixing. I'm not even the slightest bit joking. This. Is. Bad. Like, really bad.
