Long ago, two races ruled over Earth: HUMANS and MONSTERS
One day, war broke out between the two races.
After a long battle, the humans were victorious.
They sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell.
However, after several centuries, the humans ought to release the monsters once more.
They were put in the 13th district, and were separated from the other 12th because the humans' leaders were afraid another war would break out.
Soon enough, because monsters were weaker than humans, they were subjugated.
As the tension grew again between the two races, the Monsters and Human's leaders decided on creating a way of appeasing the people.
After a long discussion, they finally reached an agreement.
Each year, 12 monsters and 2 humans would be chosen to fight to death in a competition organized by the Capital, the head of human's society.
These games were called The Undergames, and they were merely a way to keep the balance of the world, and concentrate all the conflicts in an arena instead of the battlefield.
    Or were they?
