Emma Swan lost her hearing in the accident that killed her parents on the way back from the hospital. When she'd grown up, just when she found someone who loved her for who she was, he died, leaving her pregnant to care for their son on her own. Henry. After raising Henry for 5 years, Emma decides she needs a better job in order to properly care for him. A kind lady, Regina, hires her to teach a class of young children who have also lost their hearing. There she would meet a little girl and her father who would change her life forever. Killian Jones, member of the Irish band, The Enemies, lost his wife Milah to cancer when their daughter Molly was just a year old. He's had to raise her all alone. Despite having their family behind them, Molly still wishes she had a mother. Poor little Molly inherited the trait of deafness from her mother, and has had to live with it all her life. So after a lot of convincing from his sister in-law, Regina, Killian has decided to send Molly to school where she can learn to deal with her disability, and where she will make a great friend. Not to mention, he did quite enjoy the sight of her beautiful teacher, Emma Swan.
