Mask People come and then they go, I smile, I laugh even though I am feeling low, Laughter disguising my cries, I live my life behind a mask of lies. Suffered through a lot, never complained, Went through hell, with ankles chained. Still managed a smile at the end, On my face, the mask still remained. Bade good-bye to the one I loved, For her sake, happiness away I shoved, Waved good-bye with a smile, The mask remained intact all the while. Fought the battle with an iron will, Refused to break or tow kneel, Laughed at the hand, I was dealt, And even then the mask refused to melt. And then occurred the unthinkable, Something unexpected and agonizingly unbelievable. When will this end? Was all I could ask, As a tear rolled down, there was a crack in the mask. - Parth N. Shah

"I don't want it to end, I want it to last forever. So I thought dying was the best option." He pulled her close, placing her head back on his chest. "I've told you already to cherish yourself more," he said, his voice soft and soothing. She raised her head, looking up at him with tears-filled eyes. "You're not mad?" she asked, her voice trembling. He smiled at her, his nose mask damp on his face as the rain continued to hit them. "No, I'm not mad at you," he replied. "I'm just scolding you so you won't do anything like that again." He took a deep breath, his eyes locked on hers. "Talk to me before you do things like killing yourself, okay?" he added, his voice filled with emotion. She nodded, her head down, her voice barely audible. "Ok." "I'll keep making you happy for the rest of our lives," Amjad said, his eyes filled with promise...............
