In a large abundant village there was a girl named Elysia, her mother is the only duaghter of a wealthy merchant but was bedridden with a frail body and her father is the owner of the best tavern and bar in the village but was busy during this time trying to find her a suitable husband but before she could meet her future husband her village is attacked and she is taken away to be a lady in waiting for the new emperor of Xuian the best of all the five powerful empires that surround her village.

The old emperor of Xuian recently died of old age with the people in grief for the loss of their benevolent ruler and praise for the crown prince who had taken over the empire as he did not make the country weaker but in fact reunited its people as one, he had become known best for his cunning intellect and heroic deeds of giving slaves and servants the freedom to choose and have rights, but the new emperor was a mysterious figure as he hid his face under a silver mask keeping his identity a secret from everyone but the most high ranking governors and elite royal guards.
