Then her cousin shows up unexpectantly and tells her all of what he and her mother have been planning. She gets to spend a month in California with him. 
There was a slight catch to the whole thing. Tyler might have been cool about letting her come live with him and his roommate (that he neglected to tell her mother about) That doesn't mean he's going to drop the over protective brother act.
