As for the girl...there is more to this autobot leader than meets the eye. She slowly finds herself a new family to surround her with affection she has never had in her life. Story of a Sparkling-Transformers fanfic
An ambush. That was all there was to it. The Prime was alone at that time, launching his only sparkling off world to protect her. He was so close to losing her to the Decepticons, at least that was what he thought. He was left heavily damaged, leaking energon, for the other Autobots to find. The priority was not the Prime, but his sparkling. Their objective had been achieved, they did not need to do anything else. Optimus Prime was for their Lord and master to defeat, not them. She's pushing everyone aside and doesn't want anybody's help. When Mirage arrives on earth, he becomes her superior. Cat is clear she doesn't want and need his help, but she has no other option, this caused a lot of tension between the two spies.
