My name is Maeve Agnew. I’m 24 years old and this is my frustrating, complicated, crazy, cliché, roller coaster ride of a story.
I suppose it all started when I sang with… or maybe it was when Ben gave me that ticket… or when my best friend Auden came in sobbing… or when Grant lied… or when… agh, whatever. It's a long story, so you might wanna take a seat and get comfortable. Buckle up, because it's one heck of a ride, I'll tell you.
I guess life was okay. Better than before, that's for sure. But there always seemed to be something missing, and I wasn’t exactly sure of what. My boyfriend Grant (who I presumed was the love of my life) couldn’t even fill that hole in my heart, as cheesy as that sounds.
I thought that annoying little gap would never fill. I was beginning to wonder if my favorite band had actually lied to me that winter night a decade ago.
Until that one night that I found love, and I found more than I ever could dream of.
I guess that a line from Coldplay is the best way to explain it all. When you find the man who’s going to make it all better, who was looking for that broken smile, and he found you, and he vowed:
