Nix felt like her life was crumbling minute by minute. All of a sudden, her best friend is missing, an old woman keeps popping up out of nowhere, and she has to go on an adventure to find him and herself? She didn't want to. Apparently, the only way was to "connect with her real self," as if she didn't want to be as normal as humanly possible. Connecting with herself would determine the fate of the world. Well, she was soon going to find out that fate sucks. Being fated to save the world? The world wasn't supposed to be held by her shoulders, but she had no choice. She had no idea who she was destined to be, but she had to find out quickly. All while finding her best friend and running from people who wanted to kill her. Sounds super easy.
