When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade, right?

Wrong.

When life gives you lemons, you throw them right back and ask why the hell would you want lemons? They're gross and sour.

Although, if life throws a curve-ball at you in the shape of a universe you didn't even know existed, you'd totally take it right? Just maybe not by choice. Maybe you'd fight a little, you'd go kicking and screaming.

That's what Ripley did.

Her whole life was thrown upside down in the blink of an eye and she had no idea what it actually mean to her, or to her family. She went from a normal school girl who worried about homework and what time she was going to the mall with friends to a girl who was wondering when she'd get a new blade or whether she'd be able to protect her family the next time the darkness came.

They were her Filii Aurea, her Golden Children, and they were to inherit the earth. A couple centuries down the line, and the Filii Aurea are struggling to stay alive. With the great Aurean war and Aziel Aro committing perpetual genocide, they're desperate to save their race. Avani Sai and Nuri Bachmann need to find the last remaining descendent of the great Milo Aro, and possibly the last cursed Child, and defeat Aziel Aro. That might not be their biggest concern, however. A charming stranger from the Sovereign Capital and a dark force lurking in the streets seem to pose a bigger threat than perpetual genocide.

He never spoke a word to his brother if it weren't mean and cruel, which was why a request to join in on his big brother's 'fun' and 'games' was a surprise to everyone, much less himself. But when things are taken way too far, Atticus is suddenly running and ends up at the doorstep of an unusual compound that sparks something in his instincts. Taking refuge away from the poison of others, Atticus knew that he couldn't hide forever, but he'd do anything to be left alone so he didn't have to hide anymore. Unfortunately he wasn't the only resident in this newly-found dwelling, because this newcomer wanted the exact same thing that he did.

It would be easy for Evita to forget about where the gun came from and let her life return to normal, but its mysterious appearance won't stop nagging at her. When Evita starts asking questions Evelyn Sheer, the head of the city's Department of Energy, takes her captive and places her in a secret, underground research facility. Evelyn Sheer and the researchers are trying to create a genetic modification that enables humans to photosynthesize. Once in the facility, Evita is tagged as a test subject and loses all say over what happens to her body. She has to escape. By the time she comes up with a plan there is only one problem. Evita isn't ready to leave.
