In the day-to-day trenches of high school, it is almost the default-setting to believe we are the main character of our own coming-of-age story. This is not wrong. It's just ours isn't the only story there is. The jocks, the nerds, the cheerleaders, the losers, the stoners, the fangirls, the skaters. I know not a single soul on planet earth asked for this, but hey, here I am. I think we can all unanimously agree that Life can can suck from time to time...or sometimes just all the time. But I think I can safely assure you that despite that, there is meaning behind the convoluted and wrecked world we all coexist in, something that only pertains to us and only that we can understand. I will share with you my understanding of the world, and maybe, just maybe, it'll help you figure out yours. Go all the way. PLUS ULTRA!

I am Rudy. I sometimes find it hard to understand the concept of life. Or am I not looking for my destiny... my calling. Whatever it is why am I not happy? Happiness for me is an eternity away. I guess I'll never find it, it won't hurt to try though... Ima try but I wanna do it myself, I don't need nobody on my side that's gone bring me down! So who will it be for this hopelessly unromantic girl? The brooding best friend? Or the young and unquestionably attractive substitute teacher? They say every person is worth the potential heartbreak of relationships not working out. That's why people still take that leap. But not me. Never been kissed, never had a boyfriend-I was pretty convinced by now that I was one of those mega-rare exceptions to the rule; the unlucky sap was just not worth the risk. And I'm totally fine with that. Romance and heartbreak? Not worth the hype in my book. Until life decided to get all snarky on me. "Fooled you, idiot! You'll get your love story...just not at all how you wanted it." Before I know it, I'm swept up in romantic turmoil more dramatic than anything my wildest playwright fantasies could dream up. Getting these very real, very adult feelings for the first time is bloomin' confusing. Lines will blur, tough choices will be made, and hearts will be deliciously broken. So who will it be for this once-hopelessly unromantic girl? My brooding best friend? Or my young substitute teacher?
