After obsessively tracking her for a week, Tim finally catches up with her, finding her holed up in an abandoned building with another younger girl she is trying to care for. Bruce Wayne doesn't hesitate to take them in, but Ria's mistrust of them leads to tension in the house. Her powers are dangerous, volatile and no matter how hard Tim tries, he can't get her to open up to him. As Ria's shadowed past slowly catches up with her, the Bat Family finally realizes that they have no idea what kind of forces they're dealing with.
