Our Only Exception

To everyone around her, Kayla is just a normal eighteen year old girl. She has one close friend, Adalie, who she lives with, but doesn’t have time for anyone else. She’s a nanny for a little boy named James. He is the sweetest kid ever and she loves him to death. His parents are abusive when he’s around them so Kayla has James with her whenever she can; he practically lives with her. All the guys at her school are after her but she’s never had time for boys because she focuses all her attention on school and James. But then a guy comes along who threatens to break down the barrier Kayla has put up. He pursues her right away but she turns him down, saying she really doesn’t have the time. This only makes him more into her, though. How will this all end and will Kayla be able to give James a normal life?
