This is not just your average "hood story".
Ryan is a 21 year old woman living with her grandmother and little sister,Bria that's 17, in the hood. But when a tragedy happens, her life just gets worse. She has to step up to the plate and take care of them both. Ryan and Bria are like sweet and sour, sugar and spice, up and down. They're opposites. Ryan tries to balance the mother and sister role with Bria but she wants to be so "hood" and a hoodrat while Ryan is striving to get them out of the hood.
When Bria get into a situation with a well known drug dealer around the way, this is when Ryan life changes.... for good or for worse? Ya'll know it aint no happily ever after..

People will eventually see Cameron Martinez as a vigilante heroine, but it was never she who did those kind acts. She can't understand how they could think remarkably high of her when she merely wants to put food on the table. * Robbing gangs isn't smart, at all. When the Chicago Kings hear of Cam's doings, they get worried and paranoid. If one insignificant little girl has the balls to steal from them, what will stop everyone else? PSA i wrote this when i was 13😭😭 please chill on me Jaliyah 'Blu' Washington and her brothers are your definition of the grind. at 19 , 20 , and 23 years old , she and her two older brothers have done almost everything they could to leave the hood and unstable mother. They've built their lives in the downtown area of Atl. Blu being a nail tech , Jairo playing basketball in college , and Josiah in the streets making money the way he's always known how. Amiri or mir is well known when it comes to the Atl streets , carrying his fathers legacy by keeping the business in the streets going meaning, he's meeting new people left and right including Josiah. The two have become close over the couple months they've known each other running business together. When Mir meets Blu , the two don't click immediately how Josiah believed they would. They actually seem to despise each other but only because Blu is always keeping it real and Mir is extremely blunt, not caring whose feelings he hurts.
