We all live in a world dangerous to every single one who lives and walks upon earth.
16 year old Noveen has to attend Night Creek Academy after receiving all four marks of our species. In NCA she learns how to fight and to survive. She's trained to be a Guardian, an Other, or a Patron saint, however you want to call it. She finds out that her parents were killed by the head of deadlocks and that he has evil plans and she is the only one who can stop him finding the object that he needs to drown our existence. Earth is in danger.
In order to find that object she goes on a long journey along with a few of her new friends. Along that way Noveen find herself in times of love, betrayal, hurt, friendship and loyalty.
